Workforce Services
More Efficient Personnel, Improved Product and Service Quality, Fewer Field Problems, Better Customer Service, and a More Stable Workforce
Manufacturers often find that, as they grow or their business changes, the new business requirements are not met with the skills of the existing people. In the case of growth this might mean finding new people with particular capabilities. In the case of changing business needs, manufacturers need to determine what the missing skill requirements are and develop a plan to close the gap.

Today, manufacturers are also faced with the growing awareness that their workforce is aging and that adequately skilled resources are not available for hire to replace retiring workers. This has occurred for a variety of reasons but regardless of the reason why manufacturers need to plan for this eventuality.
Custom Workforce Services
The Manufacturing Assistance Program offers Workforce services that help manufacturers improve the performance of their employees by closing the gap between the available skills and the job requirements. Our services are related to skill analysis and development within the workplace to help resolve the gap between today's skills and tomorrow's skills needs:
We use experts to complete an analysis and assessment of your specific situation and help you develop and implement a targeted plan to support your workforce needs. For example, this could include the design and development of custom job skills training, or a position skills requirement assessment, gap analysis and custom remediation training plan for an individual employee or class of employees.
Service Line Training
Topical training is a critical element of and is integrated into most of the services offered by the Manufacturing Assistance Program and can be used as part of our other services or tailored and delivered standalone for your company. Our Service Line Training is described in the appropriate service area description. For example, if you are interested in Sustainability or Green Training that offering is described in our Sustainability service offering description and our Training Within Industry (TWI) and Lean training offering is contained in our Continuous Improvement description.
Contact the Manufacturing Assistance Program to discuss your specific situation and needs.
