Sustainability Services
Save Energy, Reduce Environmental Impacts, Lower Operating Costs and Gain a Competitive Edge
Facility Sustainability Improvement
Our services are designed to eliminate (Refuse), Reduce, and Reuse Or Recycle (4R) WASTE (Water, emissions (Air), Solids, chemicals (Toxicity) and Energy) in your facility. We have a four phased process that begins with the identification of 4R WASTE opportunities in your facility. These opportunities are prioritized based on your anticipated benefit. This is not a governmental inspection; it is a confidential, completely voluntary and non-regulatory. Phases II and III are the design and Implementation of each high priority opportunity identified in Phase I that the company decides to address. During design in Phase II we refine the financial payback and implementation costs to ensure that the opportunity payback is sufficient for the company before the implementation (Phase III) is begun. In Phase IV we help you establish a system to capture and report key metrics which illustrate the impact your sustainability Program is having on your business.
Product Life Cycle Analysis
Every product that is under development and every product that is already in production at your facility should have a Product Life Cycle Review completed. The Review is designed to identify ways to refuse, reduce, reuse or recycle (4R) WASTE from a product's pre-manufacture, manufacturing process, packaging, use, and end-of-life phases. This review can be a stand- alone review focused on sustainability, or part of a comprehensive design for manufacturability analysis.
Green Supplier Network
We use innovative models for collaboration among manufacturers, utilities, local government, and federal resources to enhance a company's sustainability and competitiveness as well as in their supply chains and to spur growth and innovation. We partner with a number of Federal government agencies (DOC, SBA, DOL, DOE and EPA) to deliver this service.

An EMS helps organizations systematically identify and manage their regulated and unregulated environmental impacts. Organizations that implement an EMS find that it has helps:
Sustainability Training
Our Green Enterprise Development Training is for manufacturers interested in learning how to design and implement waste and energy-use reductions at a level that provides superior cost performance and recognizable customer value. We use hands-on activities, simulations, and case studies to teach environmental sustainability leading to process improvement and cost savings. We provide three levels of certification and prepare attendees for SME certification. Training begins with Green Generalist which provides an overview and the Green Generalist Certification. We follow this training with Green Specialist topics including: Putting Sustainability into Practice, Dumpster Dive, Energy Management, Water Conservation, Pollution Solutions, and Green Chemistry. Complete 3 of 6 workshops after Green Generalist and gain a Specialist I Certificate complete all 7 and get a Specialist II Certificate. Our training is great preparation for the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Green Manufacturing Specialist Certificate exam.
