Federal Laboratories
Technical Assistance CRADA's
UMMAP has partnerships with several major Federal Laboratories located in Maryland and Virginia to provide technical assistance to benefit business and industry. This assistance is provided through Technical Assistance CRADA's (Cooperative Research and Development Agreements). These agreements allow Federal Laboratories to contribute staff, facilities and equipment, with up to four man days of free technical assistance. Over thirty Maryland companies have benefited from this program since it's inception. This program provides companies with the specialized technical assistance they need, but might not otherwise be able to get. The only requirement is the signing of a two page document which, when completed by the Federal Lab and the University of Maryland College Park, activates the CRADA.
