University of Maryland Entrepreneurs Compete In $75,000 Contest
Student & Alumni Teams To Be Judged By Top DC-Area Venture Capitalists

WHAT: The final round in the University of Maryland Business Plan Competition. This contest – the nation's largest of its kind - is sponsored by the Hinman CEOs program, a joint partnership between the A. James Clark School of Engineering and the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Many of the student entrepreneurs competing in the contest have already started their own businesses or plan to launch businesses upon graduation.

WHO: Six teams of entrepreneurs - students and recent alumni - will make final presentations to a judging panel of venture capitalists, angel investors, and service providers, including:

WHEN: Wednesday, March 6, 2002
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Oral presentations by finalists
5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Reception and awards ceremony
