Martek Biosciences and Digene Coporation, both top-20 public Maryland biotechnology firms, are graduates of our TAP incubator program. Both companies have made extensive use of our bioprocessing scale-up facilities.
Our research funding has accelerated the development of products such as MedImmune's Synagis™, a top-selling drug for infant respiratory disease, and Hughes Network Systems' DIRECWAY™, the world's leading consumer satellite Internet service.
Our programs stimulate more than 20 student and faculty-driven companies each year, via our Hinman CEOs Program for undergraduate entrepreneurs, as well as our VentureCatalyst initiatives.
Our consulting arm saves Maryland manufacturers millions annually through focused expert solutions.
